“Nicole was our Doula for our first baby in September 2017. She is a loving, sweet, calm, well informed, and organized Doula. My husband and I wanted to do our best to have our baby naturally, though we were confident in my body’s ability to do it naturally- mentally we were unsure. Nicole was no doubt one of the leading factors in why we were able to have our baby medication free! She took the time to meet up with us before the birth to go over our birth plan, and ask/answer questions. On the big day Nicole showed up to the hospital on time and was a source of positive encouragement and my personal advocate. She knew exactly what questions to ask the midwives and nurses throughout the process. She was an incredible source of pain relief during the labor process. She jumped right in the tub with and knew exactly what to do during contractions to help with the pain. She collaborated so well with the nurses and midwife during the entire process. She was especially helpful in keeping me present during the labor process and keeping me in control of my body. She also ensured that my husband be involved in the laboring process. Most importantly she made us feel confident throughout the entire process. Nicole’s work did not stop at the hospital. She continued to follow up and do house visits to help me with breastfeeding the weeks after. That was one of the best feelings, something I did not even think about or know I would need after birth. She was a wealth of information and would provide me so many resources for any questions or concerns I had. I could go on and on about the incredible positive birthing experience I had, thanks to Nicole.
