It Takes a Village."

When a new baby enters the world, it truly takes a village, and a supportive group of people to help make your transition from hospital to home as easy as possible. With a postpartum doula, that's exactly the support you receive!

What do postpartum doulas offer after the birth?

Emotional Support:

The transition into new parenthood can be a very vulnerable time, and postpartum doulas are experts in emotional support. Tell us your birth story, let us help you process the experience and help you feel heard. Your postpartum doula is there to encourage, nurture, and teach moms that in the hustle and bustle of new baby life, moms need extra special care too!

Evidence-Based Information and Support:

Postpartum doulas are trained to understand what new babies – and new mothers – truly need. The doula helps with newborn education, offers breastfeeding and bottle support, and explains normal newborn behavior.

Practical Support:

With a new baby in the house, they become the demanding priority, and sometimes you need an extra set of hands to  walk the dog, play with your other children, help prepare a meal, fold that basket of laundry, or vacuum up the pet hair on the rug.
